Forest Service - snowmobiling



Popular snowmobiling areas on the Boise National Forest include trails near Garden Valley, Smith's Ferry, Anderson Ranch, Idaho City and Cascade.   The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR), along with local county services, groom many miles of trails. 

Garden Valley:

  • The Garden Valley snowmobile trail system begins at the terrace Lake Resort.  A total of 137 miles are groomed, leading to Packer John and connecting with the trail system maintained by the Smith's Ferry grooming program.  Emmett RD Garden Valley Area 8B Snowmachine Grooming Map
