The Daniel Boone National Forest is home to lakes, rivers and streams where boating and swimming are enjoyed year round.
Swimming is allowed in most of the forest waterways except in areas posted as closed for protection of wildlife species or around developed areas such as boat ramps and marinas. Visit the rules and regulations page for more information on areas closed to swimming.
You must comply with all regulations established Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources concerning fishing, boating and waterway safety laws.

Harm game fish and native species;
Raise operating costs of water and power plants.
