Camping opportunities on the GMUG National Forest abound! We offer cabin rentals, developed campgrounds and more isolated dispersed camping areas. With some pre-planning you can find a perfect spot for you and your family! While electric, sewer, water hook-ups and showers are not always available; most campgrounds have potable water, picnic tables, fire rings and vault toilets.

Campground reservations may be made at some sites through ReserveUSA by phone at 877-444-6777 or online at www.recreation.gov. Where available, reservations are recommended for holiday weekends.

Currently there are seven cabins on our forest available to rent. These guard stations offer great summer and fall getaways and quiet ski-in adventures. For more information on cabins and a printable brochure refer to the quick picks side bar.

There are several lodges and resorts that are permitted by the Forest Service to operate on the GMUG National Forest. If you want to experience a rustic stay with some of the comforts of home, these accomodations may suit you!

Two of our campgrounds are completely rennovated and now offer new and improved facilities! Check them out!
