Mountain Biking
Mountain biking opportunities throughout the Payette National Forest provide adventurous riders with endless exploration and the McCall area continues to situate itself as a regional mountain biking hub. Renown local rides include the Bear Basin network, Loon Lake Loop, Twenty Mile Trail #085, and the Goose Creek Trail #353. The area has appropriate options for all ability levels and numerous outfitters providing rentals, service, parts, and local expertise.
Trail maintenance of Forest Service trails varies from year to year and many routes are subject to significant deadfall. Reference the Interactive Trail Map for current maintenance status.
All motorized vehicles including e-bikes are restricted from non-motorized trails. Reference the Payette Motor Vehicle Use Map for roads and trails open to specific motorized use throughout the Forest.
