Whether you prefer pavement right to the edge of the water, or would enjoy a short hike to the shoreline, anglers of all types can find a favorite fishing hole on Prescott National Forest's four lakes and eight river sites--some of which are stocked seasonally with trout. The Forest has family and group campgrounds near each of the lakes, and there are camping accommodations near the river on the Coconino National Forest (Clear Creek Campground), in Dead Horse Ranch State Park, or in numerous privately-owned campgrounds in the Verde Valley.
