Effective Tuesday August 5, 2014 at 10 a.m. El Yunque National Forest will re-open the PR 191 main recreation corridor and most trails for public access.
There may be some downed trees and debris along the roads and trails, so please use caution when driving or hiking in the Forest.
The following trail segments in the Forest remain closed:
* Section of trail between Baño Grande and Caimitillo Trail
* Trade winds/El Toro Trails
Some sections of trails and parking areas in the Forest may be barricaded for safety reasons - please do not cross barricaded areas. Some services may be intermittent as water and electricity are being restored.
Tropical Storm Bertha passed through the area on Saturday August 2 .
