T91 just west of Grindstone Lake and the surrounding area (see map) on the Smokey Bear Ranger District is temporarily closed to public use. Construction on bike trails will be taking place and when complete will add loop trails for the entire area for hikers and bikers.
Logging activities in the Benson Ridge area (FR223) of the Sacramento Ranger District will be ongoing throughout the summer and fall months. Please be advised that some trails and/or some popular dispersed camping sites may be affected either directly or indirectly with such things as increased noise and dust. There will be times when logging is not active throughout this time so be sure to check with the Sacramento Ranger Station at 575-682-2551 for more up to date information.
