Fire personnel on all three ranger districts will conduct prescribed and pile burning activities in numerous areas of the forest this spring as conditions allow.
Firing operations are always dependent on conditions for timing and safety. Smoke could be visible in the vicinity of operation areas. Burning may have some short-term impacts on air-quality, but will be accomplished during weather conditions minimizing impacts.
When driving in areas of activity, please slow down, use headlights and be cautious of firefighters and equipment.
