Yampa, CO: Forest Road 250 Temporarily Closed for Hazard Tree Removal
June 24, 2016 –The closure is expected to be in place through the end of July.
Nearly the entire stretch is affected by the temporary closure. Over six miles in length, the road is located in south Routt County, Gore Range. The closure area begins at HWY 134, north of Rock Creek State Wildlife Area, and winds north to Forest Road 102.
The road will be opened at the end of operations each day. Operations are seven days a week. Dispersed recreation sites outside of the closure areas are available.
Removing dead trees along roadsides is short-term inconvenience needed to provide for long-term public safety.
