POSSIBLY DANGEROUS STORMS ON THE WAY
Thursday, 10/13 will bring 3”+ to Mt. Hood. Saturday could produce 5" to 7” for much of Forest over next 5 days. Elevations over 6000 ft. may see significant snow. High winds expected Thursday, 10/13 of ~40 mph on eastern edge of Forest. In high terrain w/ southfacing aspects, winds up to 60 mph. Saturday expected to be a stronger storm. Flooding not expected to be a problem. However, the NWS urges to stay tuned to changes.
Safety: Expect water crossings to rise; Heavy rain intensity on Thurs. & Sat. may generate slippery roads & hydroplaning; Anticipate down limbs & trees on roadways; Power outages are possible.
