Forest Road No. 7605, also known as Doctor Bob Creek Road, located 12 miles west of Leavenworth off Icicle Creek Road, will be closed to all public access due to road work occurring there. Signs will be posted at the locked gate advising forest users that the road is closed to all public access for about three weeks, beginning August 1.
“The road is normally closed to motor vehicle access, but hikers and mountain bike riders use this area,” said Civil Engineer Molly Williams. “The contractor will be repairing the road where a landslide occurred about three-quarters of a mile beyond the gate. This segment of road will be repaired so equipment can access the far end of the road where decommission work will be completed.”
It is unsafe for anyone to be in the area during construction operations. The contractor will have heavy equipment on the road and blasting will also be occurring.
