Ouachita National Forest officials have issued an alert for vehicles traveling Forest Service Road 114, located north of Lake Winona in Saline County, because of a culvert failure on a low water crossing.
While a temporary crossing has been placed, only four-wheel drive and high clearance vehicles are recommended for this section of the road. Conditions are not currently suitable for standard passenger vehicles.
Caution signs have been posted at the intersections closest to the temporary crossing. Biking recreationists should note that Forest Service Road 114 contains segments of the Lake Winona Gravel Bike Loop.
