Ron Archuleta Is New Deputy Forest Supervisor on the Forests and Grassland

Fort Collins, Colo.  – Ron Archuleta has been chosen as the new Deputy Forest Supervisor on the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland (ARP).

Archuleta will start on the ARP in July. He is currently the District Ranger on the Yellowstone Ranger District, part of the Gallatin National Forest in Montana. Prior to his work on the Gallatin, he worked as the Assistant Wildlife Program Manager in the U.S. Forest Service’s Washington Office. His career has taken him to eight national forests across the west: the San Juan, Nebraska, Umpqua, Deschutes, Manti-LaSal, Beaverhead-Deerlodge, Gallatin,and Kaibab.
Mr. Archuleta has a Bachelors Degree in Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University and worked as a wildlife biologist for the Forest Service for much of his early career. He has worked on a variety of issues over his 29 year career and is looking forward to the opportunities and challenges facing the Forests and Grassland.
Ron and his wife Elizabeth Crowe and four-year-old son Perry currently live in Bozeman, Montana, and love the outdoors. They spend a lot time skiing, hiking, camping, fishing and hunting.  His roots are in southwestern Colorado, where he spent 25 years in the town of Mancos.
