Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests offices will close in observance of Veteran’s Day on November 11

Springerville, AZ—November 5, 2015 – Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U. S. military veterans.  In observance of Veterans Day the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests offices and all ranger stations will be closed on Wednesday, November 11.  However, law enforcement will be active and on-duty during this national holiday.  Regular business hours will resume Thursday, November 12 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For information about prescribed burning and fire restrictions contact the Northeastern Arizona Public Information line by dialing 311 or by calling 928-333-3412, which has daily prescribed burn schedules and any wildfires that might be occurring.        

As a reminder, Christmas tree permits go on sale on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests at all five ranger districts on November 16th and the Mogollon Rim Visitor Center on November 27th. Cutting is allowed starting November 16 on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.
