Wendy Jo Haskins new Apache-Sitgreaves NFs Deputy Forest Supervisor

Springerville, AZ, July 2, 2015, For Immediate Release — Wendy Jo Haskinsnamed as the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests’ (ASNFs) Deputy Forest Supervisor. “Wendy Jo will bring a new perspective and successful experiences from an array of diverse program areas from her time on the White River National Forest (WRNF) in CO. It will be a great fit for the ASNFs.  She is held in high regard by her colleagues, supervisor, and staff,” ASNFs Forest Supervisor Tom Osen stated.

Haskins launched her career with the Forest Service on the WRNF and served in a variety of positions.  She has a degree in Physical Geography from the University of Pittsburgh. Her experience includes engineering, soils science, transportation and forest planning.  She is currently the Planning and Natural Resources Staff Officer on the WRNF.

She is excited about the challenges and opportunities on the ASNFs and is looking forward to coming to the Arizona.

She and her husband Rick Haskins will arrive the Sept. 6 to their new duty station in Springerville. She enjoys the outdoors in her spare time.
