Contact(s): Leona Rodreick, Jocelyn Dodge

Construction has started for the second season on the Lost Creek Trail No. 8133 located at the north end of the Lost Creek State Park near Anaconda. Work on this trail is being accomplished with a contract crew from Scott’s Fire Service comprised of Anaconda, Dillon, and Helena area school teachers and paraprofessionals. In 2014 two bridges were replaced and portions of the seven mile trail were reconstructed.

The crew is returning this week to continue working on reconstruction, reconditioning and drainage of the trail tread along the seven mile trail.  Work is expected to be completed by September 2015.  During the construction period the trail will be closed to public entry for safety of the public as well as the contractor and their equipment.  For more information contact the Pinter Ranger District at (406) 859-3211.
