Between 1938 and 1940, the Civilian Conservation Corps, or CCC, built roads, bridges, ranger stations, fire lookouts, reservoirs, telephone lines, campgrounds, and trails in the Bighorn National Forest, including the structures at Big Goose Ranger Station.
