National Planning Rule Ideas Discussed at Boise NF Roundtable Session
Public discussion on the development of a new Forest Service Land and Resource Management Planning Rule (planning rule) was held at the Boise National Forest Headquarters Office. The Forest Service hosted a series of roundtables and a national science forum, throughout the nation. In the Intermountain Region of the U.S. Forest Service over 200 people participated in the roundtable forum. USDA Secretary Vilsack has charged the Forest Service to develop a new planning rule that is more responsive to current forest management challenges.
