Cascade Ranger District Hosting Junior Snow Ranger Event

CASCADE, ID - The Cascade Ranger District is hosting a Junior Snow Ranger event in conjunction with Lake Cascade State Park on Saturday, February 4th at 10:30 am.
The event will occur along Crown Point Parkway and it will provide kids with an opportunity to search for animal tracks and look at snow crystals up close. The event is focused for second graders, but all ages are welcome.
Parking is located just north of Cascade on the east side of Highway 55. Participants should turn onto Crown Point Parkway and go to the free parking area located near the lake. Participants should bring snowshoes if they have them. About 10 pairs will be available at the event.
Children and parents should dress warmly, bring drinking water, and wear sturdy water resistant shoes. The route is mostly level and easy to navigate for all ages.
