Albuquerque, NM, October 2, 2018 – A Temporary Area Closure Order (03-0673) has been issued for the Milk Ranch Trailhead Parking Area in effect on October 1, 2018 and shall remain in effect until December 31, 2018 or until: the Order is rescinded, whichever occurs first.
The purpose of this Order is to protect the public’s health and safety during construction of the Milk Ranch Trailhead Parking Area. This construction is part of the Zuni Mountain Trails Project.
All National Forest System lands, roads, and trails within the boundary, as depicted on the attached map, Exhibit A, will be closed for the duration of this work. This trail head will be located on Forest Service land at the intersection of State Road (SR) 400 and National Forest Service Road (NFSR) 400C. NFSR 400C will not provide connection to SR400 during this construction.
Recreation Site affected: Milk Ranch Trailhead and parking area.
Violations of this order are punishable by a fine of $5,000 for individuals or $10,000 for organizations, or by 6 months of imprisonment, or both. Title 16 USC 551, Title 18 USC 3559, 3571 and 3581.
