Clints Well, Arizona — Minimal to moderate smoke is predicted today from the Jack wildfire. Fire remains active with moderate growth potential in the northeast portion and is burning in very rugged terrain with broken and scattered fuels.
Operations will include patrolling the perimeter, removing hazardous trees, and inspecting range improvements and other infrastructures for needed repairs. Yesterday, crews scouted the northern and western edges for heat and threats to the containment lines.
There is a red flag warning in effect from 11 am this morning to 7 pm this evening due to strong winds and low relative humidity for northwest Coconino County. Higher temperatures and low relative humidity are expected over the next couple days.
