Three small lightning-caused wildfires are burning in the Mogollon Rim Ranger District:

Map of the Thunderstruck and Eden fires, July 28, 2016Thunderstruck Fire is approximately 60 acres. Fire managers plan to burn approximately 600 acres on the Thunderstruck today to create containment lines around the fire. Winds are forecasted out of the east. During the day the smoke will move west, at night smoke is anticipated to settle inot Jack’s Canyon. Clear Creek Pines 3&7, and 4,5&6  may experience smoke in the morning but should lift by mid-morning. Other subdivisions of the Blue Ridge Community could also be effected by the smoke. 

Eden Fire approximately 15 acres, located 5 miles northwest of Blue Ridge Ranger Station off Forest Road 211C. Crews are monitoring the Eden.

Map of the Crackerbox FireCrackerbox Fire is approximately 35 acres, located north of General Springs Cabin in Crackerbox Canyon has received rain over the last few days, and has had little growth, if any.
