Temporary Closure Forest Road 1200000 (Mill Creek Road)

Newport, WA (May 2, 2016) – The Newport Ranger District will be temporarily closing Mill Creek Road for public and operator safety during logging operations.

National Forest Road 1200000 (Mill Creek Road) will be temporarily closed from the junction of County Road 9325 (Le Clerc Road North) to milepost 3.2 to allow for hazard tree removal and salvage logging from last summer’s Tower Fire. The closure is anticipated to start immediately and will run until logging operations are completed in the fall of 2016. Mill Creek Road is located in Pend Oreille County, approximately 30 miles north of Newport, Washington.
