Camp Crook, SD – On Friday, September 16th, the Sioux Ranger District will lift Stage I Fire Restrictions. Recent moisture and cooler temperatures have prompted fire managers to lift the Stage I Fire Restrictions that were in place for eastern Montana and western South Dakota.
Remember that if visiting National Forest System lands to bring a bucket, water, shovel and to always leave your campfire dead out, which means no heat to the touch.
Additional information about areas where fire restrictions are still in effect can be found by visiting www.firerestrictions.us or by calling your local ranger district office.
