Barrett 4wd Trail Reconstruction

Status: Completed and Re-opened.

The Eldorado National Forest has completed the Environmental Analysis for proposed reconstruction of three segments of the Barrett 4wd Trail (16E21) and repaired the 3 areas. Trail has been opened. These three trail segments were found in the June, 2013 Eldorado National Forest Travel Management Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (TM SEIS) to be affecting the hydrologic connectivity of meadows 16E21-1, 16E21-5 and 16E21-6. Work is needed on these three trail segments to bring them into compliance with the Eldorado National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan (As amended by Sierra Nevada National Forest Plan Amendment 2004 Record of Decision), Standard and Guideline #100.
