Little girl learns to identify cloudsAdventures With Nature Day is held on the fourth Saturday in June from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CST. Several organizations and agencies work together to make the day fun and educational. Many of the booths allow the children to make things to take home. This year the children will make rope, toys, butter and other crafts from natural dyes. Have you ever milked a goat? This year you'll be able to give it a try! You can learn how early pioneers made things from nature. There will also be games to play made with simple products.

Mark Booth, with "Take Flight" will present a program on Native Americans and bring birds that will actually do live flight demonstrations.
Volunteers help children build bluebird boxes.Perry Central Key Club will be on hand serving food for hungry visitors. And of course, the event is always made special by a visit from Smokey Bear!

Adventures With Nature is sponsored by Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of State Parks, Perry & Spencer County SWCDs, Purdue Extension – Perry County, and the US Forest Service.

We recommend that people bring lawn chairs and no pets are allowed at the event for public safety.

There is a $3.00 Gate Fee charged per car to enter Tipsaw Lake where the event is held.
