The Eagle Lake Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest is planning on burning hand piles on the east side of Logan Mountain in the Summit DFPZ (Defensible Fuel Profile Zone) project.

  • Legal Location: T32N/10E/Sections 7 & 18
  • Total acreage: 44
  • Planned ignition dates: October 28 - October 29
  • Duration of ignition: 1-2 days
  • Duration of smoke production: 1-4 days
  • Estimated direction of smoke travel: Varied, depending on conditions
  • Impacted communities/Smoke Sensitive Areas: The piles are located in a remote area and will not impact any communities or smoke sensitive areas. Smoke might be visible from County Road A1.
