Winter Recreation Passes for Lolo Pass
Lolo Pass Visitor Center
The Lolo Pass Visitor Center is operated by the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. Not only is it a recreational destination for winter sports enthusiasts, but also doubles as a rest area at the Montana/Idaho border along Highway 12. The facility includes an interpretive center, small book store & gift shop, 24-hour restrooms, a covered picnic area, picnic tables and short interpretive trails with benches. Winter Season:
From December through March, the Lolo Pass Visitor Center is open, please visit this website for the most current hours and days of operation as these are subject to change due to weather and COVID-19. Many people like to visit this area for winter recreation and Winter Recreation Passes are used to help pay for the maintenance of this site. Winter Recreation Passes are required at all times from December through March.

- $5 for a day pass
- $20 for a bundle of 5 day passes
- $35 for a season pass

Spring/Summer Season:
No passes are needed for the spring/summer season. Outside of the winter grooming season, you do not need a Winter Recreation Pass, and there is no charge to visit the Lolo Pass Visitor Center.
