Location: Three miles northwest of the City of South Lake Tahoe, California, on the lake side of Highway 89.  If you are driving north on Highway 89 from South Lake Tahoe, you will make a right hand turn just past the Tallac Historic Site. If you are driving south on Highway 89 from Truckee/Tahoe City, you will make a left hand turn just past Baldwin Beach.

The visitor center is open beginning Memorial Day weekend through the end of October.

Tallac Historic Site

Location: Three miles northwest of the City of South Lake Tahoe, California, on the lake side of Highway 89.  If you are driving north on Highway 89 from South Lake Tahoe, you will make a right hand turn just past the turn off to Valhalla. If you are driving south on Highway 89 from Truckee/Tahoe City, you will make a left hand turn just past the Taylor Creek Visitor Center.

The Tallac Historic Site is open beginning Memorial Day weekend through the mid-September.
