Baker Lake Road (Forest Road #11) Conditions

These reports are updated weekly through forest visitor reports. Please call the ranger station to give a report after a hike or send an  email. Contact the Mt. Baker Ranger District at 360-856-5700 ext. 515 for detailed conditions.
 

Road & Trail Status Definitions

• OPEN - No restrictions, forest visitors can drive the road or hike the trail.
• UNREACHABLE - Forest visitors can only drive or hike part of the trail because of snow, trail damage, wildlife habitat or because of damage or closures to roads or trails leading to it.
• CLOSED - Road or trail closed because of forest closures, wildlife habitat, road damage, gates or barriers. Forest visitors cannot drive any part of the road or hike any part of the trail.
• NOT CLEARED - Road or trail is snow covered or not brushed out but still open.
• INACCESSIBLE - Road or trail not reachable because of road damage or closures on roads or trails leading to it.
• TEMP CLOSED – Road or trail construction closing access.
• UNKNOWN – Status of road or trail not known at this time.

Baker Lake Road

Forest Service will close Baker Lake Road (Forest Service road 11) for visitor safety at mile 12.2 for hazardous tree removal April 16. Baker Lake Road should be open the following day. The road is 26 miles long with 20 miles paved and the last six in gravel. 

Forest Service will close Depression Lake Road (Forest Service road 1106011) for visitor safety at mile 0 and the junction with Forest Service road 1106 fir hazardous tree removal April 21. Depression Lake Road should be open the following day.
