Logo - Northwest Interpretive AssociationWe thank our longstanding non-profit partner, Discover Your Northwest for their continuing support for the VolcanoCams, especially our VolcanoCam viewers who support the Volcano Cam through Discover Your Northwest.

Staff support for the VolcanoCams comes from several Forest Service employees; as time permits.

What happens if a VolcanoCam breaks down?

Discover Your Northwest and YOU have been very supportive of our efforts to keep the VolcanoCam running! We retired the ClassicCam in Spring 2010 and replaced it with another High Definition camera, thanks to your donated funds through Discover Your Northwest.

With two HD cameras, complete with zoom lenses, we are able to operate them remotely. One camera offers a view of the volcano in its entirety (depending upon the season), while we will use the second camera to zoom in on the dome and ever-growing glacier.
