The Cloud Cap Road Opens this Friday

The Cloud Cap Road, Forest Road 3512, will be opening this Friday Aug. 8, 2014. The work that has gone on for the past year and a half felling and hauling over 5,000 hazard trees from the road prism will conclude Friday, and visitors will be able to access popular destinations such as Cloud Cap Inn once more.
With the Cloud Cap Road open, tours of the historic Cloud Cap Inn will start up again Sunday Aug. 23, 2014 and will continue into September. Several recreational sites that were closed due to the road closure will also open Friday. The Cooper Spur and Cloud Cap Saddle trails will be accessible from the Cloud Cap –Tilly Jane Trailhead and the popular campgrounds Tilly Jane and Cloud Cap Saddle will open for reservations.
