Culvert Replacement Work on Beaver Creek Road 247 to begin July 25

Release Date: Jul 20, 2016

The Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, in coordination with Potlatch Corporation and the Idaho Department of Lands, will be replacing culverts along USFS Road 247 (Beaver Creek) starting Monday, July 25, 2016.  The road will be closed to through traffic at differing locations along the road while the culverts are being replaced.

At that time, a detour will be provided by accessing USFS Road 246 (Scofield) and Browns Rock, a Potlatch Corporation road.  The detour will begin at Headquarters and end at Camp 14, Junction of USFS Road 680 (Sheep Mountain) and USFS Road 247 (Beaver Creek).  Please reference attached map.

This detour will remain in place for approximately 3 weeks while deep culverts in the proximity of mile post 4 are being replaced.  Following the culvert replacements in the proximity of mile post 4 shorter detours along USFS Road 247 will be provided for the remaining culvert replacements.

The culvert replacement project is expected to last into mid-September.
