Travel Management Information from Past Scoping
Information from Past Scoping
Since 2005, when the Travel Rule was published, the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest has been working with interested organizations and individuals to develop a Forest-wide travel management plan that included site specific decisions. Largely due to the complexity of displaying analysis of site specific effects for individual motorized roads and trails across the 4 million acre Forest, that endeavor was not proving successful. Therefore, the Forest Leadership has decided to provide the input gathered an analysis conducted over the past several years to the Ranger Districts. The Districts will work together in zones to further develop and analyze site specific proposals for motorized travel management. The Scoping information from the previous analysis that will be carried forward into those site specific proposals is below.
