ORDER
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
PIKE NATIONAL FOREST

 

Pursuant to Title 36 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Sections 261.50 (a) and (b); the following roads on the South Park Ranger District, Pike National Forest, will be closed during the period between March 1 and June 15.

THIS ORDER PROHIBITS:

1. Using any motor vehicle on any National Forest System road beyond where the road is gated and/or signed as closed (36 CFR 261.54(a)).

2. Using any motor vehicle on any National Forest System trail beyond where the trail is gated and/or signed as closed (36 CFR 261.55(b)).

The seasonal road/trail name road/trail numbers are subject to closure and are identified as follows:

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (e), the following persons are exempt from this order:


(1) Any federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
(2) Persons with a permit authorizing the use of motorized vehicles on the above road(s).

This order supersedes the travel order signed by Jack Weissling and dated March 17, 1992.

This order is in effect until rescinded.

Violoation of these prohibitions is punishable as a Class B Misdemeanor, by a fine of not more than $5000, or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months or both.
