2016 Rocky Mountain Region Temporary Hiring

The Rocky Mountain Region is hiring over 600 temporary positions across 17 national forests and 7 national grasslands located in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. 

Temporary positions are available in a variety of occupations such as fire, trails, forestry, engineering, wildlife, recreation, fisheries, archeology and administrative support.

2016 update for seasonal hiring

  • In January we accepted applications for a wide variety of fire and dispatch jobs.
  • February 2-8 we accepted applications for jobs in recreation, fisheries, wildlife, forestry, engineering, administration (not a complete list)
  • If there are any remaining positions, we will be accepting job applications in March.
