Travel Management Subpart C: Over-snow Vehicle Use Public Meetings
In November 2014 the Forest Service held four public meetings as it began the analysis of over-snow vehicle use designation on the Lassen, Tahoe, Eldorado, Stanislaus, and Plumas National Forests. Under Subpart C of the Travel Management Rule, the same regulatory steps are followed to ultimately make National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) decisions. These forests are conducting this analysis to designate a system of over-snow vehicle trails, including groomed trails, to meet the terms of a court-required settlement agreement.
