Rio Grande National Forest seeks seasonal help

MONTE VISTA, Colo. - The Rio Grande National Forest will be advertising to fill up to 18 temporary jobs for the 2016 field season. Interested individuals need to submit their applications from February 2-8 at www.usajobs.gov.

“Our seasonal workforce plays a big role in helping us get the work done on the ground,” said Tom Malecek, deputy forest supervisor for the Rio Grande National Forest. “Our hope is that we will receive a lot of local applications.”

A variety of positions will be available at all three ranger districts for the 2016 season, including work in forestry, recreation, wildlife and road maintenance (laborer).
