Employees of the Forest Service are inspired to care for more than 193 million acres of our nation’s tremendous National Forests and Grasslands. Seasonal jobs help the Forest Service achieve our mission by contributing to forest health, resource protection and fire prevention and suppression. Opportunities include wildland fire, timber, recreation, archeology, wildlife, customer service, and more! Hiring typically takes place in October and November and seasonal employees generally start working spring through fall.
Summer Seasonal Positions
The Siuslaw National Forest seeks positive and hard-working people to support our public lands during summer season.
Most of the positions are entry-level (GS 3-7), and some positions may offer housing on site. Hiring typically takes place in fall. Applications must be submitted on www.USAJOBS.gov.
