Corvallis, OR – The Siuslaw National Forest has released its 2015 annual report, which highlights the forest’s accomplishments in the last year, investments made, and collaborative efforts that created jobs and got kids outside.

The forest reports that 10,000 visitors enjoyed field ranger interpretive programs, over 8,000 acres of wildlife habitat were improved, and 38 million board feet of timber were sold last year. “We call the Siuslaw a forest that works,” said Forest Supervisor Jerry Ingersoll, “and it’s true. Thanks to our great community partnerships and hard-working staff, we have a strong track record of accomplishing important restoration projects and providing outstanding recreation opportunities up and down the Oregon coast.”

The report is available here.
