Forest Road 342 will close for ADOT construction traffic September 2, 2015 through May 1, 2016
Release Date: Sep 1, 2015
Superior, AZ (September 1, 2015) – Forest Road (FR) 342 located between Superior and Top of the World will be closed to the public at 5:00 a.m. September 2, 2015 through May 1, 2016.
The Purpose of this closure is to provide for the public’s health and safety due to dangerous conditions resulting from an ADOT rock hauling operation along FR 342. The rock hauling is in conjunction with the highway widening project being conducted on US 60 by ADOT. This order will protect the public from harm and create a safer work environment for ADOT contractors.
The closure of FR 342 begins at the intersection of US 60 and extends to the SRP Silver King Substation. Although a substantially longer route, FR342 beyond the closed portion may be accessed from FR 650 between Superior and Queen Valley.
