Seasonal Jobs with the Rocky Mountain Region
The Rocky Mountain Region announced it will be advertising more than 250 temporary positions throughout the Region’s National Forests and Grasslands starting Jan. 6, 2015. The initial recruitment is primarily for seasonal wildland firefighting positions. The Region comprises 17 national forests and 7 national grasslands, located in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. Click here for more information.
The San Luis Valley Interagency Fire management unit will be filling seasonal positions within our organization, as Type 6 Fire Engine crew members and/or Fuels Crew members (Forest Service and BLM). The Duty Stations locations may be in La Jara, Saguache, Del Norte and/or Monte Vista Colorado.
The San Luis Valley Interagency Fire Management Unit consists of The National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, U. S Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Forest Service who have pooled their resources and personnel to create an efficient, highly experienced and skilled fire and Fuels management team for the San Luis Valley.

These positions will be located at the Divide Ranger District in Del Norte, CO Saguache Ranger District in Saguache, CO, Conejos Peak Ranger District in La Jara, CO & Supervisor’s Office in Monte Vista, CO.
