Trail's End Campground
Safety Information
The Ham Lake Fire passed through Trail’s End on May 7th, 2007. The fire burned in a mosaic pattern, reducing some areas to ash while leaving others untouched. You’ll be surprised by how many trees survived the fire and how burnt areas have ‘greened-up’ with passing years.
In addition to natural regeneration, seedlings have been planted in many areas. Post fire soils and young trees are delicate, so please be careful where you walk while nature restores the forest. Also, dead trees outside of campsites have been left standing to provide habitat. Due to these possibly unstable trees, walking in previously burned areas could be hazardous. Please stay on trails and roadways.
