The Sawtooth National Forest has developed a Wildlife Conservation Strategy in response to new information and/or changed conditions concerning wildlife habitat.
This project objective is to reduce additional DFB-induced post-fire mortality of large, surviving Douglas-firs by treating vulnerable tree stands and to monitor DFB populations in currently infested areas within and adjacent to the Bald Mountain Ski Area.
