Rim Fire Reforestation

The Rim Fire Reforestation Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) describes a proposal for about 48,000 acres of treatments on National Forest System lands within the 2013 Rim Fire including: deer habitat enhancement; natural regeneration; noxious weed eradication; reforestation; and, thin existing plantations. The DEIS discloses the direct, indirect and cumulative environmental effects that would result from the proposed action, a no action alternative and three additional action alternatives. The Responsible Official has not identified a preferred alternative at this stage.

Summit Campground Concessionaire Package

The Stanislaus National Forest (STF) is soliciting proposals from interested parties for concession campground Special Use Permits (SUP). A permit or permits to provide high-quality public service in the operation and maintenance of government-owned recreation facilities, located on the STF, will be issued.

The Central Sierra Environmental Resource Center (CSERC) was recognized by the U.S. Forest Service 2014 Recreation, Heritage & Volunteer Resources, Volunteers & Service Annual Awards Program for their outstanding restoration work performed in partnership with the Stanislaus National Forest (STF).
