The Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland is over a million acres of hands-on classroom space providing excellent opportunities for children and adults alike to experience Colorado's outdoors.  The U.S. Forest Service supports a program called "Kids in the Woods," to connect children to nature.  The Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland provides an abundance of nature for everyone to enjoy.  You can also learn about the plants and animals that call the forests and grassland home, as well as the history of the land explore.
