ABOUT THE UPPER COLUMBIA CHILDREN’S FOREST

Image: Upper Columbia Children's Forest LogoThe Upper Columbia Children’s Forest brands conservation education activities in northeastern Washington.  The Upper Columbia Children's Forest will partner with schools, other agencies, and groups to collect and evaluate conservation education activities in Ferry, Stevens and Pend Oreille counties.  The goal is to assess consistency of programs with school curricula and state standards, make recommendations for improvement, and secure grants to accomplish additional projects.

STORIES

Come outside and play this summer!  From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day there will be a number of easy to access geocaches located at various sites throughout the Upper Columbia Children's Forest.  All of the geocaches require driving to the recreation site followed by a short walk. The Upper Columbia Children's Forest encourages visitors to practice the Leave No Trace Principals while exploring the Forest.

If you want to play - just go to geocaching.com and search for the Upper Columbia Children’s Forest geocaches and get the coordinates to input into your GPS Unit.  At each geocache there is a card to collect. If you collect eight different cards stop by the Information Center located at 425 West 3rd Kettle Falls, WA 99114 and receive a prize.
