Interactive Visitor Map
The U.S. Forest Service Interactive Visitor Map provides the public with an online view of Forest Service roads, trails, recreation sites, wilderness areas, and wild and scenic rivers. We now have a downloadable mobile application for smart devices.

Water-resistant, large-scale Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests Visitor Maps are currently only available for purchase from the National Forest Store or through the USGS. These maps at our offices cost $14. The maps are comprehensive and larger in scale (1/2 inch = 1 mile.)

Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forest Motor Vehicle Use Maps
Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM) are the official maps for designating all roads and trails available for public motorized travel on the Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests. These maps show all National Forest System roads, trails, and areas that are designated as open to motor vehicle travel.
Topographic Maps
Topographic maps are the official maps used to chart the lands of the Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests. Topographic maps show Forest Service ownership as well as other physical and cultural features. The map sheets are also known as 7.5 minute Quadrangle Maps or Quads. Each unit contains several sheets within the map grid. Scale: 1 inch = 2,000 feet.
