Employment Opportunities on the Manti - La Sal National Forest

 

All temporary and permanent jobs must be applied for online at USAjobs.gov.  Summer seasonal jobs are many and varied.  The normal work season is from mid-May through the end of September.   Note the list of job fields below to see what kind of outdoor job might interest you!  Almost all employees start out as a seasonal employee.  As they gain training and experience, many who decide they like it then apply for permanent positions.  (Link to Fire Hire website

Minimum Requirements are:

  • 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED and
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Summer Seasonal Job Facts:

  • Starting pay is around $11.95 per hour
  • Earn annual and sick leave. Work 40 hours per week, 5 days per week.
  • Some jobs have alternate weekends (not just Saturday/Sunday).
  • Season is usually mid-May through September.
