National Forest Visitor Maps

Visitor maps for each national forest and grassland provide forest-wide information on attractions, facilities, services, and opportunities. These maps are available to purchase from individual forests, from the National Forest Store (406-329-3024) and retail outlets.  Visitor maps for the Manti-La Sal National Forest can also be downloaded in TIFF format from the FSGeodata Clearinghouse.  

A free Visitor guide for the Manti-La Sal National Forest is also available.  It contains recreation sites, history, a basic map and other valuable information.

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Maps

Topographic maps cover a small area and provide the greatest level of detail. These maps can be purchased from the U.S. Geological Survey, many individual forests, and many retail outlets.

Motor Vehicle Use Maps

Motor vehicle use maps are prepared and issued under 36 CFR 212.56, and identify those roads, trails, and areas designated for motor vehicle use.  These maps are distributed free of charge.

Miscellaneous Maps

Miscellaneous maps cover specific trails, wilderness areas and other special areas.

Retail Outlets

Maps of the Manti-La Sal National Forest can be purchased from forest offices in Ephraim, Ferron, Moab, Monticello and Price, and at local retail stores.
