National Forest Visitor Maps
Visitor maps for each national forest and grassland provide forest-wide information on attractions, facilities, services, and opportunities. These maps are available to purchase from individual forests, from the National Forest Map Store (406-329-3024) and retail outlets. Visitor maps for the Manti-La Sal National Forest were revised in 2013.
A free Visitor guide for the Manti-La Sal National Forest is also available. It contains recreation sites, history, a basic map and other valuable information.
U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Maps
Topographic maps cover a small area and provide the greatest level of detail. These maps can be purchased from the U.S. Geological Survey, many individual forests, and many retail outlets.
Motor Vehicle Use Maps
Motor vehicle use maps are prepared and issued under 36 CFR 212.56, and identify those roads, trails, and areas designated for motor vehicle use. These maps are distributed free of charge.
